Licensed Home Child Care

Our youngest residents require safe, nurturing and stimulating care. The Rural VISIONS Licensed Home Child Care Program provides a system through which parents and caregivers have access to quality licensed home child care in South Frontenac Township.
More Details

Our licensed Providers offer quality child care out of the comfort of their homes for children ages 0-12. All licensed homes meet Ministry guidelines for safety, programming, nutrition, ratios, and record keeping. Homes are monitored on a monthly basis to ensure all standards are upheld. Daily programming enhances the development of your childs fine and gross motor skills, through outdoor play, nutrition, safety, language, and social development. Children in licensed homes can also receive enhanced support services, such as Pathways, directly in the home.

This program is regulated by the Day Nurseries Act and licensed by the Ministry of Community & Social Services. Connection to fee subsidy is available for eligible families.

Benefits for Licensed Families

  • Small ratio 1:5
  • Age ratios are met for each home
  • Homes monitored monthly to ensure standards are maintained
  • Providers are agency screened (references and police check)
  • Daily programming is age and developmentally appropriate
  • Safety (Providers are first aid and CPR certified, homes are inspected)
  • Menus meet Canadas Food Guide for nutrition
  • Monthly newsletter and membership to organization
  • Access to Toy and Resource Lending Library
  • Access to other professionals in the child care environment (Pathways, Early Expressions, Community Living, etc.)
  • Eligible families assisted with fees
